Why is Brexit aan Zee being postponed?
An event such as Brexit aan Zee must meet a number of conditions. These are registered in a permit. Emergency services such as the police and the fire brigade advise the municipality on how an event should be carried out safely.

The advice that the municipality received from some emergency services was so strict that the costs to realise these were extremely high. That is why the organisation had to generate extra income, including ticket sales. In addition, it turned out to be too late in the year for sponsorships and an agreement with an important partner fell through.

In the end it turned out that even with a sold-out event the costs could not be financed and there was no other choice than to postpone. But a new date has been set: February 29, 2020!
